A trip back home turned into a nightmare for an Army jawan after he was brutally beaten up, allegedly by Trinamool Congress workers.
The jawan, who is posted with the Rashtriya Rifles, had come to Hooghly in West Bengal on a 20-day vacation.
According to him, he was accosted by TMC workers at a construction site near his residence. He was asked to ‘donate’ Rs 1 lakh.
He refused leading to the workers to brutally beat him up. India Today speaks to the jawan who recounts the ordeal.
