BJP MP Rajeev Chandrashekharan’s Kerala resort vandalised by CPI(M)’s youth wing members

A group of over 10 DYFI workers have allegedly attacked the NIRAMAYA resort in Kumarakom over river encroachment allegations.

The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) is the CPI(M)’s youth wing.

A DYFI protest march against the resort turned violent, and the protesters stormed into the resort. According to resort authorities, five villas were totally destroyed in the attack.

DYFI alleges that the resort was constructed on government land and has violated land regulation rules.

Kumarakom police have registered a case against 10 people in connection with the attack

The state’s revenue department will conduct a re-survey at the property over allegations of land encroachment.
