Four RSS workers were attacked in Kerala’s Kannur district, which is known as the hotbed of political violence between the RSS and the CPM.
The four injured have been hospitalised and are being treated. The attackers have not been identified yet.
On Sunday night, a CPM worker was injured after a crude bomb was hurled at a rally. The CPM workers have alleged that the BJP workers are behind it.
The incident happened a day after Mayor V K Prasant was attacked allegedly by BJP workers at the city corporation council. Four women councillors and a staff member were injured in the melee during a discussion on installing high mast lights in the city.
In Karikkam, two CPI(M) workers were injured in a clash and they have been hospitalised. CPI(M) district secretary Anavoor Nagappan alleged that BJP workers unleashed violence on the workers of his party during a procession.
A CPI(M) worker was injured when he was attacked by two motorbike-borne persons, allegedly belonging to Social Democratic Party of India.
