Jawaharlal Nehru wanted to share Indian National Army’s treasure with Pakistan ?

Prime Minister’s Office has been releasing files on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and some startling revelations have been made. But none more shocking than the willingness of Jawaharlal Nehru to share INA’s treasure with Pakistan.

File number 23 (156)/51-PM has revealed two things – 1) it shows how desperately the Nehru government worked to retrieve INA’s treasure from Singapore and, 2) Jawaharlal Nehru was willing to share INA’s treasure with Pakistan in a 2:1 ratio.

According to an estimate, the gold with the INA was worth 10 lakh rupees then. In 1953, a letter written to the Foreign Ministry desired the ministry to get information on the worth of gold with the INA. It was also revealed in the file, that in a note written by Nehru on 30thJune 1950, he expressed his desire to divide the treasure of the INA between India and Pakistan.

It was also revealed in one of the files that in 1978 America had denounced the theory that Netaji died in a plane crash. American security agencies had investigated the death of Netaji and reached the conclusion that he didn’t die in the plane crash in Taiwan in 1945.

The American agency said in its report that no evidence was found of Netaji’s death in the plane crash. The agency had even shared this report with the Indian Embassy in Washington. It is worth noting that the first one to investigate Netaji’s supposed death was the American Army under the leadership of General MacArthur Douglas. This is significant as it means that the American Army investigated actual evidence and not doctored or manipulated evidence.

Such a massive revelation was made in the files regarding Netaji and our media didn’t even care report it. Are they trying to protect the legacy of Nehru? Or do they simply don’t look into these files as it would require dedicated work on their behalf?
