Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday had an awkward moment at a public meeting in Gujarat when the crowd started chanting ‘Modi Modi’. The leader had gone to a textile market to interact with traders where the incident occurred.
Delhi BJP spokesperson Tajinder Bagga shared a video on micro-blogging website, Twitter. The video shows traders chanting ‘Modi, Modi’, moments after Rahul arrived at the venue. “Warm welcome of Shri Rahul Gandhi in Gujarat textile markets,” Bagga captioned the video.

Gandhi didn’t react to the boos of the crowd and simply smiled back at them. Earlier in the day, while interacting with traders , Rahul compared India’s economy with that of China and pitched for economic development and employment generation.
