Sehawag Says Celebrate This Diwali With Extra Power After SC Bans The Sale Of Firecracker’s In NCR

As the Supreme Court has ruled that there will be no sale of firecrackers during Diwali, author Chetan Bhagat on Monday took to Twitter to voice his opinion against the order.

The SC restored a November 2016 order banning the sale and stocking of firecrackers in Delhi and National Capital Region. A bench headed by Justice AK Sikri, while restoring the order, said: “We should see at least in one Diwali the impact of a cracker-free festivity.”

However, the SC order has not gone down well with Bhagat, who immediately tweeted that “banning crackers on Diwali is like banning Christmas trees on Christmas and goats on Bakr-Eid”.

Virender Sehwag is known for speaking his mind. After the Supreme Court on Monday ruled that there will be no sale of firecrackers during the Diwali festival in the National Capital Region, cricketer Virender Sehwag posted a tweet seemingly denouncing the ban.

Sehwag wrote on Twitter, ‘RT if this year you will celebrate Diwali extra dhoom dhaam se.’ Though, he did not say it clearly but the ‘dhoom dhamm’ seems to allude to firecrackers

This is an atrocious decision, showing SC’s anarchy and lack of common sense
