Anil Kumble, on Tuesday evening, in a letter to BCCI submitted his resignation and wrote in a Facebook post that his relationship with Kohli is untenable.
Kohli, who is in West Indies to play a limited over series starting June 23, on Wednesday just put the last nail in the coffin by deleting the welcome tweet he wrote when Kumble joined the Indian team as the coach on June 23, 2016.
“Heartiest welcome to @anilkumble1074 Anil Kumble Sir. Look forward to your tenure with us. Great things in store for Indian Cricket with you,” Kohli had written.
In his Facebook post, Kumble also wrote that he was informed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that Kohli had reservations about his coaching style.
The situation was so worse that the skipper and the coach did not speak for last six month.
