Chaos reigned in the Delhi Legislative Assembly as AAP lawmakers allegedly assaulted rebel party member Kapil Mishra and clashed with members of the opposition on Wednesday.
The assembly, which had convened to discuss the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill, was disrupted after a group of AAP legislators collectively attacked Mishra and one of them even attempted to strangle him. Members of opposition parties intervened to rescue Mishra, resulting in a scuffle between the two groups.
Moments after the high drama in the assembly, Kapil Mishra was marshaled out and said that he was attacked by AAP members who were enraged at his allegations of corruption against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and other party leaders.
