In the last three years of since the Congress government has come to power, at least 30 workers of RSS, BJP and Hindu organisations have been killed yet, the State government has done nothing to bring the culprits to book. Sharath Madiwala’s ‘murder’ was the latest in the list. This is a proof that how light the Congress government is taking these incidents. It would be better if these deaths are probed by the National Investigation Agency, observed BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje.
Speaking to mediapersons in Bengaluru, she also strongly recommended a ban on Popular Front of India (PFI) and Karnataka Forum For Dignity (KFD) whose hand is being seen behind these murders, reports Kannada Prabha.
In her letter to Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Shobha has urged the Central government to intervene and ensure law and order in the coastal district. “For the past 42 days, prohibitory orders are in place in Dakshina Kananda district. Perhaps, the state had never witnessed Section 144 for such a long period. The ban was lifted for two hours as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was scheduled to address the gathering. But it appears, the same rule does not apply for the BJP. Isn’t the Congress government stoking the emotions,” asked Shobha Karandlaje.
She also blamed ministers Ramanath Rai and UT Khader for the escalating tension in the coastal district. The chief minister should drop them from the cabinet. “There is a similarity in which BJP or RSS leaders were killed in Karnataka and Kerala. The killers are adopting a similar modus operandi. This should be probed,’ Shobha demanded, reports Kannada Prabha.
Meanwhile, BJP State president BS Yeddyurappa blamed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for Saturday’s tension. “His visit to Mangaluru has stoked the communal tension in the district and the chief minister should take responsibility for it,” Yeddyurappa said. The State government must act soon lest the people will teach it a befitting lesson in the up-coming elections
