Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has jumped in the row over Tamil film Mersal. Taking a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi after BJP called the latest Tamil film politically motivated, Rahul Gandhi said that the party was trying to “demon-etise Tamil pride.”
Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter, “Mr. Modi, Cinema is a deep expression of Tamil culture and language. Don’t try to demon-etise Tamil pride by interfering in Mersal.”

Madhur Bhandarkar who is an Indian film director, script writer, and producer, recently released a movie called ‘Indu Sarkar’ on the times of Emergency imposed on India by Indira Gandhi, was attacked by the Congress goons. Madhur, questioned their silence after seeing their support to other film which is not against them.
