Kairana exodus: Kairana based gang involved in several loot cases arrested

With the arrest of three people, Bijnor police on Tuesday claimed to have busted a Kairana based gang involved in several loot cases.

Superintendent of police, Ajay Sahani, said , “Police got a tip off on Monday night about some miscreants hiding in Khanpur forest on the border area of Najibabad and Kiratpur. A team of police officers raided the area around 1:30 am. One constable, Amit Kumar, has been injured in the encounter between the gang members and police. The three accused have been identified as Vaseem, Suhail and Mohammad Miyan.”

“The gang used to operate in Uttrakhand, UP, Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. They had also looted an ashram in Muzaffarnagar’s Bhopa area and killed two saints. Around nine cases of loot are registered against them.” Sahani said.

“We have recovered a 32 bore pistol with six live cartridges and two pistols of 315 bore from their possession. The police team which carried out the operation has been rewarded with Rs 15,000,” he said.
