Surrendered Hizbul Terrorist Revealed That Boys In Kashmir Become Terrorists To Impress Local Girls

Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Danish Ahmed, who surrendered to Indian security forces a couple of days back, has told his interrogators that many other youth who have joined militancy want to surrender but are scared to do so as Hizbul Mujahideen has threatened to kill them if they do so.

According to his interrogation report, Danish Ahmed was given the task to activate some local youth in North Kashmir to carry out terror activities and make the region as militancy infested as the southern part of Kashmir.

Danish then got in touch with militants in South Kashmir and found out something that interested his interrogators a lot.

“Youth join militancy to impress girls. Many local girls treat these youth as heroes as they project themselves as Robin Hood, and this impresses many girls,” he said.

Danish also said that many top militant commanders in the valley have multiple girlfriends, and one such person is Abu Dujana, the Pakistani terrorist who is said to be the commander of Lashkar-e-Toiba in the Valley.

“The money looted by the militants from banks is used to buy gifts, high-end cellphones and expensive clothes,” he told his interrogators.

Security forces who identified Danish Ahmed through the videos shot at the funeral of Hizbul Mujahideen leader Sabzar Bhat wanted him to surrender. Handwara Police and 21 RR of Indian Army got into touch with his parents and impressed upon them to counsel their son to surrender. His parents were convinced that if he surrenders, he would be dealt with fairly under law. Efforts made by security forces yielded results and Danish surrendered before Handwara police and 21 RR army.

Danish was studying in B.Sc (third year) at Doon PG College of Agriculture Science and Technology, Dehradun. He was allegedly involved in stone-pelting incidents at Handwara in 2016.
